More details on how the variables are calculated are documented in the HYPE wiki page. Only River discharge and Runoff is currently available in the stadard packages of Hype data delivery service. For other variables, please order a customized package – contact us!

Total nitrogen is in HYPE divided into inorganic and organic fractions. This is the inorganic nitrogen concentration of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CCIN)

Total phosphorus is in HYPE divided into soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) and particulate phosphorus. This is the SRP concentration of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CCSP)

Water temperature of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CCT2)

  • The flow generated from the subbasin which will discharge into the main river of the subbasin. (ID: CLOC)

Total nitrogen concentration of the flow generated from the subbasin which will discharge into the main river of the subbasin. (ID: CLTN)

Total phosphorus concentration of the flow generated from the subbasin which will discharge into the main river of the subbasin. (ID: CLTP)

The flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: COUT)

The spatial average of the precipitation of the classes within the subbasin. The precipitation of a class is the precipitation given by input forcing files adjusted generally, regionally or by land use by a factor, or due to undercatch (separate for rain and snow), or due to elevation differences between classes. (ID: CPRC)

The flow generated from the subbasin land area. (ID: CRUN)

The spatial average of the air temperature of the classes within the subbasin. The air temperature of a class is the air temperature given by input forcing files corrected due to elevation difference between forcing data and subbasin average and for elevation differences between classes. (ID: CTMP)

Load of total nitrogen (inorganic + organic nitrogen) from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CTNL)

Load of total phosphorus (soluble reactive + particulate phosphorus) from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CTPL)

The precipitation provided to HYPE as forcing input files. (ID: PREC)

Average snow depth for the subbasin land area. The subbasin land area excludes floodplain, river and lake surfaces within the subbasin. (ID: SDEP)

Soil moisture deficit is the water needed to fill the root zone to field capacity. Average for subbasin land area.
(ID: SMDF)

Average snow water equivalent for the subbasin land area. The subbasin land area excludes floodplain, river and lake surfaces within the subbasin. (ID: SNOW)

The air temperature provided to HYPE as forcing input files. (ID: TEMP)

Total nitrogen is in HYPE divided into inorganic and organic fractions. This is the organic nitrogen concentration of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CCON)

Total phosphorus is in HYPE divided into soluble reactive phosphorus and particulate phosphorus (PP). This is the PP concentration of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CCPP)

Total nitrogen concentration of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point.
(ID: CCTN)

Total phosphorus concentration of the flow generated from the upstream area of the subbasin outlet point. (ID: CCTP)
